Makena Futrell, MA, LPC

Makena is a mental health professional with 6 + years of experience specializing in major mental health disorders, including Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, PTSD, anxiety disorders, attention disorders, and eating disorders. She is credentialed in various therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Play Therapy. Her Person-Centered approach makes her very personable, and relatable, making it easier for clients of all ages to pursue therapy. Her background includes working in crisis units, helping staff and clients in crises, as well as, providing care in hospitals, care to children, teens, and adults. Makena’s diverse expertise equips her to effectively support individuals across different age groups and mental health challenges.

Patricia Walker, LPC

Patricia (Patty), is a compassionate professional dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey towards mental well-being. Patty is a military veteran with the USMC and has over 10+ years of experience in the mental health field. Patty has experience in CBT, DBT, CPT, as well as grief and crisis response. Patty provides a safe and nurturing space for adults to explore and address their concerns. 

Lyndsay Howze, LPC Associate 

Lyndsay understands that starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially for those who are used to holding everything together for others. She is passionate about creating a warm, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where clients can slow down, process their experiences, and feel more grounded and in control. Lyndsay works with children, teens, and adults, tailoring her approach to meet each client exactly where they are. She specializes in perinatal mental health, neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life transitions. Her work is rooted in a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and person-centered approach, while integrating evidence-based practices such as CBT, ACT, and DBT skills. Lyndsay also has additional training in PTSD, grief, and ADHD, allowing her to support both deep emotional processing and practical skill-building. She provides LGBTQ+ affirming care and works with individuals navigating challenges such as anxiety, burnout, identity shifts during pregnancy and postpartum, ADHD and executive functioning difficulties, trauma, grief, and major life changes. Lyndsay approaches therapy as a collaborative and supportive process, always moving at a pace that feels comfortable believing that clients don’t have to have everything figured out to begin.

Jenifer Cubine, LCSW 

Jenifer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over five years of experience in the mental health field, specializing in family and children services. She has extensive expertise working with Anxiety Disorders, Major Depressive Disorder, PTSD, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, and Trauma. Jenifer is trained in CBT, DBT, MCBT, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Eclectic Psychotherapy.

Her approach is person-centered and evidence-based, empowering clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Jenifer is dedicated to supporting each individual’s journey of discovery, growth, and healing. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Stephen F. Austin University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Kasey McDonald, LPC-Associate

Kassey McDonald is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate in the state of Texas, working under the supervision of Tommy Chambers, LPC-S. She provides counseling services to children, teens, and adults who are facing life’s challenges and seeking a safe, supportive space to grow and heal.
Kassey uses an eclectic, client-centered approach—tailoring each session to the individual’s unique needs, strengths, and personal story. Whether supporting a parent concerned about their child’s emotional wellbeing, guiding a teen through overwhelming emotions, or helping an adult navigate transitions or internal struggles, Kassey creates a welcoming, affirming environment for every client.
She believes that therapy should feel safe, empowering, and grounded in trust. Her goal is to help clients explore their experiences, reconnect with their sense of self, and move forward in life with greater clarity and confidence.
Kassey is currently accepting new clients and welcomes inquiries about her services or availability for consultation.

Stevi Stanley, LMSW

Stevi Stanley is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with over 15 years of experience working with adolescents in both clinical and community settings. Her passion for supporting youth is grounded in a strength-based, person-centered approach that empowers teens to embrace their resilience, navigate challenges, and discover their inner strengths.
Before joining Strong As Stone Counseling, Stevi served over a decade in Child Protective Services, advocating for vulnerable youth and families with compassion and integrity. She also spent four years working within the Atlanta school district, where she gained a deep understanding of the academic, emotional, and social pressures facing today’s teens.

At Strong As Stone, Stevi specializes in supporting adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, identity development, trauma, family transitions, and school-related stress. She is committed to creating a safe, judgment-free space where young clients feel heard, respected, and encouraged.
Stevi is currently pursuing her LCSW and continues to grow her practice through ongoing training in trauma-informed care and adolescent mental health. Outside of the therapy room, she enjoys mentoring youth, coaching track and field, and contributing to her community through advocacy and outreach.

Allie Fennell, LPC-Associate

Allie Fennell, LPC-Associate

Allie Fennell is an LPC-Associate working under the supervision of Terri Howe, LPC-S. She has 4 years of experience working in the mental health field, serving individuals across the lifespan, with a majority of her work focused on children and adolescents. Allie has supported clients navigating a variety of concerns, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, ODD, DMDD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, LGBTQ+ related concerns, and life transitions.

Allie utilizes evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. She works with individuals, couples, families, and groups, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of her clients.

Her therapeutic style is eclectic, grounded in a person-centered approach, and delivered in a non-judgmental, open environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions. Allie believes that mental health is just as important as physical well-being. Her goal is to walk alongside clients during difficult seasons, helping them overcome obstacles and become the person they desire to be. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2025 from East Texas Baptist University.

Fun facts about Allie: She was a college volleyball player at East Texas Baptist University and enjoys reading, crafting, sports, baking, and being a fun aunt.
